Almond Joy cam in with sore feet. When we first checked him out the soles of his feet were so hard they were like rocks. We treated him to soften up his feet. The vet checked him and found him a little sore in the toes. We have put him a diet and put shoes on him. While he is not perfect he is remarkably better. He has lost weight and when the vet checked him again he felt he was close to being 100% sound. We will continue to with hold grain and give extra grain just in case he has some type of metabolic problem. At this point in time he appears to be very easy to ride and does 3 gaits well. He is a horse you have to push. We are putting him in the how low can he go program but I think he might be a good beginner walk trot canter horse. I also think he is one of the more beautiful individuals we've seen in a while.
